Verde Valley School is an International Baccalaureate college preparatory boarding and day school, founded in 1948 and is one of the nation's first truly international, multicultural boarding schools.

As an IB World School, VVS offers the IB curriculum as its sole curriculum in the 11^th and 12^th grades. In the 9^th and 10^th grades, students take courses that will prepare them for the rigorous IB classes.

The academic and residential programs at VVS revolve around five guiding principles: academic excellence; the value of world citizenship; the dignity of physical labor; service to others, and environmental stewardship.

VVS athletics include an equestrian program, rock climbing, golf, dance, archery, as well as competitive athletic sports like soccer and tennis.

Our graduates attend prestigious colleges and universities throughout the world.

Summer Program

Accelerated English Institute: Our Accelerated English Institute is a six-week summer study and travel program that prepares international students for the International Baccalaureate program. The program runs July 10 to August 20, 2011. Click here for more information.

English as a Second Language for Korean students: click here for more information.

For ages 10-16.

The students learn English through learning about the environment, history, and culture of the American Soutwest (specifically, Arizona). The learning occurs formally in the classroom, and experientially with many field trips to local points of interest.
