9:00am-10:30am – Keynote Address: "Where Will We Be in 2035?", John E. Chubb, President, National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)

The last 20 years have not been the easiest for independent schools. Increasing competition, shifting demographics, changing family values, escalating costs and tuitions, new technologies — these and other developments have challenged independent schools like never before. The next 20 years will not be easy – but they can be better, much better, if we recognize, now, the opportunities that our challenges present.

10:45am-12:00pm – Heather Hoerle, Executive Director, SSATB

12:00pm-1:00pmLuncheon and Presentation of the Hilton Award

1:00pm-2:30pm – "You need AMMO: Planning & executing digital marketing for independent schools", Sean Williams, CEO, Communication AMMO, Inc.,

How different is the independent school market today versus just 10 years ago? One huge difference is in marketing, where the digital revolution has opened new opportunities to reach the right people at the right time, but which also has complicated the communication and marketing efforts of schools around the world.

In this highly interactive and informational session, Sean Williams, CEO of Communication Ammo, Inc., will give an overview of how the digital world applies to school marketing and communication, illustrated by case studies. Plus, you’ll learn and practice using the AMMO planning tool, which will streamline and simplify your communication execution and strategy.

Communication AMMO, Inc., an Ohio-based business consultancy that focuses on helping organizations improve their communications and measure the results. Current and recent clients include University Liggett School, Colorado Rocky Mountain School, Western Reserve Academy, Ernst & Young, Western Financial Group, Avery Dennison and many others. Williams has taught communication skills to more than 6,000 business leaders, and currently teaches public relations at Kent State University.
