VVS Summer English Immersion Program Begins

JUL 18, 2011 - Verde Valley School’s Accelerated English Institute is a six-week summer study and travel program that prepares international students for the International Baccalaureate program. The program runs July 10 to August 20, 2011, and the number of students has been limited to 14 in this initial year.

This program provides the international students with an overall study, travel, and cultural experience unlike many other summer programs. Students are immersed in American boarding school life and have daily interaction with VVS students. In addition, these students have the complete attention of four full-time ESL teachers who provide individual attention and instruction to best serve each student’s needs. Finally, the students have the opportunity to travel to many parts of the United States and experience many tourist activities. After completion of the six-week program, students will greatly improve their English abilities - both academic and conversational English - and feel they have become part of the VVS community as they begin their IB students at VVS in the fall quarter.
