For the national eCyberMission competition, four Wasatch Academy students are preparing a project to increase bathroom energy efficiency.
The four are working “to find a way to increase the efficiency of showers by using the hot water that runs down the drain to heat up the cold water going up into the shower. The challenge for the team is to find a way to do this without needing to dig a big hole beneath the shower or rip out too much wall. The ideal solution would be something that could easily fit inside a shower.”(WA)
The students will design the project, experiment, gather data, examine the data, and produce their research report under the guidance of Wasatch faculty Mr. Taylor and Dr. Roth.
The team will begin competing at the state level and if successful there will move on to regional and national competitions. eCyberMission is supported by the U.S. Army.
