Stevenson School Students Compete in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair

Stevenson School students Kevin Tang, Tom Kim, and William Zhu joined 1,443 finalists from 65 countries as part of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, or, IISEF and it’s more than $4 million of scholarships and prizes.

Tang whose project was titled, Characterizing the Optimal Flight Time of a UAV Helicopter, an Odyssey through Numerical Simulations, shared his thoughts on the experience:

“The best part of IISEF for me was the opportunities…I talked to so many people who were like me, young minds that love science and discovery. I found that it wasn’t difficult to talk to different people at all, and that everyone had something new to share.”(SC)

2011 is the first time Stevenson has sent three individuals and two projects to this prestigious event.(SC)
