Santa Catalina Alumna Wins X Games Silver

Brita Sigourney (Santa Catalina School class of 2008) won a silver medal in the Aspen SuperPipe this past January. SuperPipe is essentially freestyle skiing in a half-pipe that has walls greater than 16′ high.

Sigourney told Santa Catalina’s Bulletin Board Blog:

“It feels amazing…I didn’t try to put any pressure on myself. No expectations. I was just trying to have as much fun as possible. That’s exactly what I did and it turned out well for me.” (SCS)
